Gastein Advent singing with the GastEinKlang choir

This year, the choir singing, which is known far beyond the borders of the Gastein Valley, will take place in the parish church ‘Mariä Himmelfahrt’ in Bad Hofgastein on the usual date on St. Mary's Day (Sunday, 8 December 2024, 2nd Advent) at 7.00 pm. The singers and their choirmaster Martin Aigner will give their audience a festive introduction to the most beautiful feast of the year with carefully selected songs.
Melodious instrumental groups accompany the traditional singing, which will take place in the Catholic church in Bad Hofgastein this year due to extensive restoration work in the Böckstein pilgrimage church:
‘SaitenKlang’ under the direction of Margit Fraiss and the ’Torrener Stefanibläser (conductor: Johann Jastrinsky) will give the concert a particularly fine touch and saxophonist Claudia Moser will convince the audience that this instrument also fits perfectly into this festive setting. The children from Bad Hofgastein will also do justice to the title, having worked hard in rehearsals to rehearse a lively, heart-warming shepherd's play. The narrator, Dietmar Magler, rounds off the harmonious programme with sensitive texts from his own pen. The overall musical direction is the responsibility of the GastEinKlang choirmaster, Martin Aigner.
Tickets at the advance booking price of € 17 (or € 20 at the box office) are available from all singers of the choir as well as from all tourism organisations in the valley.
The organising choir would like to politely point out that it is not possible to reserve seats and that only remaining tickets will be available before the performance. In any case, early arrival is recommended.
