Guided Hiking Tour: Paarseen

Hike to Gastein´s mountain lake:
Walking time approx. 6 1/2 hours, ascent approx. 1000 m altitude / descent approx. 1000 m altitude

This hike begins at the trail head next to the Hauserbauer, leading you through a forest of spruce to the Steiner Hochalm. Several wetland areas and low moors accompany the next stage of your hike to the Small Paarsee. Your ascent is rewarded by beautiful panoramas - the Hochkönig Massif in the north, Gastein Valley in the south and, naturally, the sight of the Big Paarsee.
On the way back, you will be treated to homemade Blattlkrapfen and other delicacies at the Steiner Hochalm.
End of the hike: approx. 3.00 p.m.
Participation in the guided hikes is free with the Gastein Card!
Bus and taxi transfer costs and consumption are to be paid extra. Good equipment and mountain/hiking boots are absolutely necessary!

Outside of opening hours, we offer brochures in our spacious foyer for free distribution.
