Guided Hike: Historical mining in Gastein and Rauris

From Nassfeld (Gastein Valley) to Kolm Saigurn (Rauris Valley): The former Roman road connecting the valleys has many myths and legends.

The crossing of the mountain range separating Pongau and Pinzgau leads to an altitude of 2,226 meters above sea level.
After the descent into the Rauris valley there is enough time to stop at a comfortable hut. We hike through the natural jewel "Rauriser Urwald" and from the parking lot Lenzanger (1.550 m) a minibus brings the hiking group back to Bad Gastein in a journey time of about 1 hour.


Meeting point: 7.30 am at the Bad Gastein train station
We take a taxi from the train station Bad Gastein to Sportgastein / Nassfeld where our hike starts.

Duration: 10 hours (hikung min. 6 hours)

Altitude meter: ascent: 650m / descent: 650m

Bus and transfer costs (approx. € 40,00) and consumption are to be paid extra.


Good equipment and mountain/hiking boots are absolutely necessary.
