Location
Modern and central: In the heart of Bad Hofgastein, our fully renovated Appartementhaus Steiger invites you to enjoy a marvelous holiday. With the stop for the ski bus right outside, the town center and ski lift within easy walking distance (approximately 250 m) – the ideal base for an unforgettable winter vacation! The shops, baker, post office and Gastein lifts are close by, as is Alpentherme Gastein.

Accommodations
Our five spacious apartments provide you with complete comfort on 30/80 m² for 2 to 6 people. All of our units feature private bath with shower and WC, a fully equipped kitchen (stove, microwave, refrigerator, coffeemaker, electric water jug) with comfy dining area, along with a private balcony with magical views. Needless to say, cable TV and Wi-Fi are provided free of charge in all rooms, as is parking for the duration of your stay.

Summer
During the warm summer months, the vibrant nature of the Alps awaits you: lush meadows, green forests, and mountain tarns that are as clear as mirrors. From time to time, take a break at one of the many rustic mountain huts to enjoy regional specialties accompanied by a refreshing beer or good wine, or, if you prefer, a cup of freshly brewed coffee along with homemade pastries. Right outside our front door, you will be able to hike straight into the heart of the Alps, while the lifts of the Schlossalmbahn in the town center of Bad Hofgastein make it even easier to explore the peaks in summertime as well. Countless summer activities await you nearby: Other than hiking, you can go Nordic walking, mountain biking, swimming in local lakes, and even enjoy a round of golf. The breathtaking Gastein Waterfall is also only a 10-minute drive from us – or, if you prefer, a leisurely two-hour hike in either direction.

Winter
When Old Man Winter spreads a thick blanket of snow over the Alps, Gastein Valley is a glistening sight for sore eyes. Drawing winter sports fans to the Alps with hundreds of kilometers of pistes, cross-country ski trails, sledding hills and floodlit night slopes. From Appartementhaus Steiger, you are barely a 10-minute walk from the Gastein mountain lifts (Schlossalm I) or, if you prefer, only 3 minutes by car. Alternatively, hop on the local ski bus, providing free transportation in winter to the surrounding ski areas. Afterwards, return to the center of town for a bite to eat and something to drink at one of the numerous restaurants and pubs. Later, warmth and relaxation in the form of saunas, steam baths and soothing thermal waters await you at Alpentherme Gastein, just 7 minutes away on foot.
