Whether you have planned a short or a long hiking tour, don't forget to take a break. The best place to do this is at one of the more than 60 alpine pastures in the Gastein ValleyWith the large selection of alpine pastures, there is something for young and old. Enjoying a "Brettjause" with a view over the whole valley is a wonderful feeling. Whether a spicy, smoky bacon or a crispy farmer's doughnut with a fruity jam to go with it. You only get the best products from local farmers. With the smell of mountain cheese in your nose, which comes from the "Kasnocknpfanne" and a Kaiserschmarrn for a sweet finish, you can really enjoy Austrian cuisine at hundreds of metres above sea level. With the local specialities, whether savoury or sweet, there is something for everyone, rounding off a perfect hiking day.
