Village:Festival Dorfgastein
Always on the first weekend in August, the entire Dorfstraße in Dorfgastein is transformed into a true festival mile. The various program items offer visitors a varied event with lots of customs and cheerfulness, especially during the summer vacation.
Folk music, club life, dance and traditional costume, everything that there is to experience in Dorfgastein throughout the year, condenses into a successful festival on this weekend.
Regional specialties
Culinary del ights are provided not only by the innkeepers but also by the farmers' wives selling regional delicacies such as Krapfen or Pofesen.
The traditional stalls invite you to buy small souvenirs, traditional costume fashion, pins or pine pieces.
In addition to a handicrafts market, handicrafts can be experienced up close in the horse stable at the Bleiwang guesthouse.
The good cohesion between all the associations, serving innkeepers, the local tourism association and the municipality promises a well-organized, genuine, distinctive festival.
