The start of the annual Klassik:Sommer in Bad Hofgastein attracts with classical masterpieces and surprising soloists. The concert opens with Mozart's ‘Haffner’ Symphony, which captivates with its lightness and elegance. The first movement of his 12th piano concerto will then be presented by the only 7-year-old Hemma Bach, who is not only active on the piano but also as a composer. An excerpt from her own composition ‘Prinzessin Dreckfuß’ can be heard as an encore. Emese Wilhelmy performs Beethoven's dramatic third piano concerto as a glamorous finale, followed by the world-famous, atmospheric first movement of his Moonlight Sonata.
